Jack & Jill/ Strictly
Lifts & Dips
Dips (where at least one foot of each partner is on the floor) are permitted. Lifts (when both feet of one partner leave the floor and the partner’s weight is supported) are not permitted in Jack & Jill and Strictly, and result in an immediate disqualification (non-finals) or last place (finals).
Shoes
Shoes are required in Jack & Jill and Strictly. Not wearing shoes results in a disqualification.
Divisions
In Jack & Jill and Strictly competitions, we have the following divisions:
• Novice
• Intermediate
• Advanced
You are allowed to sign up multiple divisions but just one role in one division. ex. Leader in Advanced, Leader in Intermediate and Follower in Novice.
Jack & Jill / Strictly Judging Criteria
Technique 40% : Hustle Structure;Timing 20% : Dancing on-time;Teamwork 20%:Connections
In addition, judges will also consider : Presentation 10%;Difficulty 10%
Showcase Division
Must have 60% Hustle content (recognizable syllabus, timing/ rhythm, body movement). It is at the discretion of the judges to determine that the Hustle content has been met.
Lifts & Dips
Lifts and Dips are allowed but not mandatory in Showcase division.
Costumes
Dance costumes are required.
Time
Performance time is a minimum of 90 seconds and maximum of 120 seconds.
Showcase Division Judging Criteria
Timimg & Musicality 20%;Technique 40%;Connection & Synchronicity 20%;Difficulty 10%;Appearance 10%
